The Child Protection and Safeguarding CPD Course provides learners with essential knowledge and practical awareness to help recognise, respond to, and report concerns relating to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.

Designed for professionals and volunteers who work with, support, or have regular contact with children, this course explores the key principles of safeguarding and child protection, including recognising possible signs of abuse and neglect, understanding safeguarding responsibilities, responding appropriately to disclosures, and following effective reporting and recording procedures.

Learners will develop an understanding of different types of abuse, including physical, emotional and sexual abuse, neglect, exploitation, grooming and online safeguarding risks. The course also considers professional boundaries, confidentiality, information sharing, safer working practices, and the importance of taking a child-centred approach when safeguarding concerns arise.
